Absolutely true. He gets more crap than he should.
He has had such bad luck this season, too, so that hasn’t helped people piling on. He has hit the crossbar SO many times this year it’s insane.
Benz really positively affects CR’s game like you say. He plays well with Ronaldo because he knows he’s not The Man and he complements the way Ronaldo plays very well. They are a good team in the box.
(That’s why Morata didn’t mesh well with Ronaldo - he wanted to be The Man himself and the two clashed.)
Now if only Bale could stay healthy...
