I think he was very near to punching Emery. He certainly did his best to punish
Nick afterwards-- attempting to make the cancellation of the rivalry game Nick's fault? Saying that Nick's apology last summer "Was what he needed to hear"??? When the student is ready the teacher will appear? That is the verbal equivalent to a sucker punch, or kick in the groin.
