into the public to some degree, but we tended to dismiss and downplay them the way fans always do.

I think Pope is a perfectly fine human being and a talented coach. But he doesn't walk on water. He isn't the easiest person to work for or with. He has blindspots that rub people the wrong way. The way he's handled moving to Kentucky has given fans a small first-hand taste of that.

In the grand scheme of things it's not a huge deal. He's moved on and so will we.
