BYU is a combined 40-37 for the following seasons:
2016
2017
2018
2019
2022
2023
When you take out the BYU's FCS opponents, Kalani was 34-37 over that time span.
That being said, you can't ignore 2020 and 2021. Those were great seasons and the best BYU has had since 2009.
The question is: Can Kalani do than more than once every 4 years?
2020 and 2021 were great seasons, but are were sandwiched in between 6 years of loosing.
I think it is possible. The problem is that he needs great coaching around him. I obviously wish Kalani the best of success, but my expectations are.... tempered, at least for the moment.
