I wonder how many lost recruits over the years would have come to BYU in the past if they didn’t have to sit out a year. Lots of RMs, football and bball, who couldn’t afford to grow older for a year not playing.

High school kids are idiots. A mission or a hard year outside the bubble will send a lot of recruits to BYU as sophomores, no?

Hopefully we have a system that stays in touch with lost recruits so that they know the door is wide open.
