My 11yo recently asked me, "Dad, did you hear that the guy from the Simpsons died?"
(He has never watched the Simpsons but he knows vaguely what it is.)
"What? No I haven't heard that. Like, a character on the show died?"
"No, one of the actors from the show. He died."
"Oh, I didn't know that. What actor? For which character?"
"I don't know. He died of cancer."
...
"Are you talking about OJ Simpson?"
"Yeah, that's him!"
"What? No I haven't heard that. Like, a character on the show died?"
