hobbies. Earlier in my career and with more kids at home (now down to one), I ditched almost all my hobbies except for sports. And sports got narrowed to the point where BYU sports was easily more than 50% of that.
I can see developments coming down the pipeline that could result in me not caring nearly as much about BYU sports. Further professionalization of the college game and distancing of it from schools would certainly do that.
Strangely that almost scares me, because I don't know what I would do with the time. If I'm being honest, there are probably already more productive and worthwhile uses of my time. I just have to figure out how to bite the bullet, taken the plunge or whatever metaphor is most appropriate.
