Don’t know what has happened. The guy has a cannon for an arm and has looked so good at times, but the last few outings the last few weeks have been rough. Gave up 5 earned runs today in just over one inning to make the game much closer than it needed to be. ERA has ballooned to over 10. Guessing it is something mental, but don’t know.

I think he embodies everything a BYU baseball player should be. Great attitude, RM, elite baseball background (drafted out of high school). I’m sure he’ll bounce back, but tough to see such a stud player go through a tough stretch. All you can do is play through it, I guess.

Curious to see how we do in Miami this week when the games don’t matter. We are 11-6 in non-conference games and tend to play looser. I personally would try to put some players in some new situations and focus on development this late in the season and not worry too much about wins or losses.
