Sea Chicken Freeloader
I found the snake
On Saturday I did some yard work and put my tools next to the man door which was locked. Then I went onto the garage through the house and picked up the tools. As I closed the door, I looked over to my right and there he was in the corner behind the door.
At first I was startled but I quickly gained my wits, grabbed a shovel and it was on. I didn’t want to kill him but I had to find a way to get him under the door so I could toss him outside. He wasn’t cooperating.
He bared his teeth and started shaking his tail letting me know that he was ready for a fight. So it was him and me. Mano a snako. Me with my shovel vs him and his teeth.
At first he was trying to be evasive and move further onto the garage, but when that proved fruitless he went on the attack. He lunged forward a number of times biting at the shovel scoop which had to give him a headache.
After battling the little monster 5 or 10 minutes that felt like an hour I was finally able to get the shovel under him and scoot him under the door and then quickly pull the shovel around and scoop him up and toss him out the door.
He then coiled up and turned back at me with a look that said “this ain’t over punk. Come out here and find out what I am really made of.”
But I, being the bigger man just gave him a nod of respect, shut the door, and walked away.
