Not a great sign that it felt fine right after the filling and is hurting now.
If it was a deep filling, then your symptoms could indicate the nerve of the tooth is going bad on you and you may need a root canal. Anytime you have a deep cavity where the decay is close to the nerve, it is a possibility that the nerve can go bad and the tooth needs further treatment (usually a root canal/crown). However, it is possible the nerve is just inflamed as a result of the trauma from the deep filling and could potentially calm down on its own (this is called reversible pulpitis, irreversible pulpitis needs a root canal).
