The MWC is going to combine with the crumbling WAC, Conference USA, the Sunbelt, MAC and a Division II conference to be named later to form a 53 team MEGA Conference that will feature a 3 tiered championship game series. Yearly, the bottom 13 teams will be dropped to division II status and the top 38 will remain in Non-AQ status.

However, the top two will be declared BCS caliber teams with the top team going to a BCS bowl so long as they finish with at least 13 wins, a saragin rating of 7 or better, AND the BCS ranking minus the AP ranking devided by the Coaches poll ranking greater than 1.6666667.
