So many stories.
I'm not comfortable sharing much. I kind of believe that it went with the territory of the position.

I still get a chuckle out of a woman from North Carolina sending a letter after having heard that we make people into "saints". She said she had always aspired to be a "saint" and wanted to better understand how she would be canonized, how much did it cost and did we take credit cards. She was totally serious.

One lesson I learned was that of the mentally disturbed, there is actually a pattern they seem to follow in their writings. They usually hand wrote their letters and they used margins and every bit of room on any given page. Often they capitalize all their letters. Their rantings or anxiety were very similar from one to another. I had always kind of thought of "crazy" people just being all over the place, but seeing that pattern indicated to me that when you have some "loose wiring" mentally, there is a lot of consistency. Kind of like when you imagine a machine that was incorrectly wired, that it would do the same thing. I expected people might be different in their lunacy, but it was like there were levels and people fell into the same different slots. I don't know if that makes sense.

We had the 3 Nephites often letting us know where they were. They and several other prophets. I remember once talking with Security. We worked pretty hand-in-hand with them and we were the first line of defense of protection and opened everything in a sealed and controlled cabinet and wore proper protective attire. We had x-ray equipment just like they do at the airports. The Security individual said to me one day, "Yeah, you hear from a lot of crazies. Well we get those individuals in person. So those 3 Nephites and other prophets do show up at Church HQ here and there."

There is a lot of anger out there. So many threats. I'll always remember the HR person who was interviewing me asked if I understood that I could lose my life doing this job. That was something I never expected I'd be told about a job I had accepted.
