I would discourage Seldovia. We went last summer and it's pretty bad now.

Many shops were closed during the height of tourist season. Just seemed dead and circling the drain.

How many days do you have? Homer is one of the if not the most beautiful place on Earth. Seward is top 5.

Flying a seaplane to seldovia is awesome. We also boated over to hike up to the glacier, might be hard with kids tho

It’s hard to navigate if you’re not on a cruise, though. And that defeats the point of Alaska if you’re able bodied

I took my family there a couple summers ago. We didn't make it to Homer but we did a whale watching tour out of Seward.
