The original PAC-8, or even the Cali-4, can dictate the configuration of the

conference if they decide to. I think with time, the PAC will have a coastal division, and a desert/mountain division that includes u of A, ASU, Texas, Ok, ok St., Kansas, CU and ?. If the Big12 starts being progressive instead of reactionary, it could penetrate the western states and then things would be different.
