Our biggest problems seemed to be lack of offensive identity, suspect offensive line, shifting coaching philosophies, and division in the locker room (gotta pay your LDS dues etc).
I tend to think if any of our guys - lark, Nelson, heaps, or munns would've had better success and nfl chances had they left BYU and gone south. Yes the competition may not have been as high but I think it would've been more balanced and stable. The game would've slowed down earlier for them. It would've been a perfect atmosphere for a guy with potential to grow. Hard to grow potential when your not sure of the scheme, are running for your life, aren't getting along with the coach, our aren't getting respect from your teammates. Some of that is on the player, but a large part was on the staff and team as well.
