On 1280 yesterday LaVell and Mac
Were talking about their experiences with players who were late bloomers. LaVell said some guys just don't develop and are so-so players then they get to the next season ( usually their senior year) and they play great, it's night and day. So you can't always tell who's going to be good and who isn't.

Edwards had his ways of evaluating players just like Bronco and all coaches do. Sometimes you're right, sometimes not.

They also talked about having to play guys before they were ready and how it could ruin them. Mac said he had had a very promising freshman tailback who he played before the kid was ready and apparently burned him out. Mac choked up over it and couldn't talk anymore.

Coaching is not such an easy business.
