Post Season – BYU ends up #3 in CFP rankings. TCU is #1, OSU is #2 and 2-loss Pac12 champ USC is inserted over 2-loss SEC champ LSU and 2-loss ACC champ Clemson. The respective commissioners and AD’s are outraged at BYU’s inclusion but the CFP committee is firm and states publicly “there was no question about 1 through 3…the only debate was who was #4 and that argument was between USC, LSU and Clemson…BYU was in and has been in for several weeks now. LSU’s non-conf schedule was like Baylor last year and the SEC was not as strong as year’s past. Of the teams in question, the Pac12 was deemed the strongest conference and USC won that conference, so they get in.”
The CFP-era is quickly being dubbed the “anti-SEC” era now that the first champ game didn’t involve an SEC team and neither will the second.

Most talking heads and I’m sure many people financially vested in NC wanted classing Trojan/Buckeye matchup…instead they get former MWC foes/rivals, who are only a few years removed from the “little sisters of the poor” status as so aptly stated by Bronco in an interview. “It’s funny what happens when you try to make things fair…you realize that coaching, players and schemes mean a lot more than the jersey or helmet the team is wearing.”
