Canada may not know the offense very well as he plays on the scout team
Scout teams study and run the opposing teams offense, not BYU's offense.
It is a great opportunity for Squally to audition for next season for what should be a great RB stable (Jamaal, Algie, Canada, Francis, and possibly Burt). Before anyone mentions West, he is listed in the media guide as a WR and not a RB. Squally performance in the bowl game might allow the coaches to move Burt back to DB in the spring - although I liked the speed in which Burt hits the edge with.
IMO the coaches will reward Squally and give him a minimum of five carries. If he is successful with those five, perhaps ten carries at tops.

Burt has actually been practicing with the offense and not on the scout team and he barely gets a sniff.
