I don't think the choice was as cut and dry as you make it sound. Hill was never an elite passer until the first half of the Nebraska game. Tanner is in the discussion for best freshman byu qb all time. It was not an easy decision. That said, I am glad they made it a competition. Hill won it and proved me and others wrong.
