Media Market size is completely overrated in this decision. It only matters if

People in those markets actually like watching the team play let alone if they are actually a fan. Univeristy of Houston technically delivers all of Houston but apparently they don't have any fans so who the crap cares? I guarantee the presidents don't. I still think they could somehow weezel themselves into the big 12 through politics.
