What this means to me is that those two came in and performed better than Dawe and Kanuch.
I take it as a really good thing. I could imagine that Lamb wants them to succeed because of the relationship that he already has with them, and so he told them exactly what they needed to do to be starters. They worked their butts off, did what he told them to do and now are being rewarded for it.
I could also imagine that Eide and Norman, being in the same boat, i.e. OL transfers from SUU, really brought them together. They bonded and worked together during the off season to reach their individual and joint goals. For me it is much easier to achieve something great if I have someone pushing me who is putting in the same effort.
