...when they're done at BYU they're typically done coaching. Rose retired, Cleveland retired, Reid didn't get another HC job in college, Arnold went to Hawaii for a couple years (a step down) and then was an assistant for a couple yrs then done. LaDell Andersen was also done after leaving BYU.
Pope is a unique case, we knew we weren't his dream job so it was always expected he'd go if Kentucky called. When ever his run at UK ends he's still young enough that being a former blue blood HC will buy him a few more gigs on his way down.
It's pretty clear BYU is a top of the food chain position, definitely a destination job.
