Once sitake gets experience as a successful NFL offensive coordinator, he can
Come back and demand more.
Or, win some big games in the big12 and make some noise.
Or, have other big college or NFL programs show significant legitimate interest in hiring him away from BYU.
Until then, he's getting compensated just fine.

Could be an issue, but KS was never on track to become a pro HC or even DC/OC.

Sitake not currently in a position to make any demands

He doesn’t have a hot seat, but it’s a little warm. He has a couple of years yet to stabilize the program.

TH showed a lot of moxie with this hire, but firing Kalani? Let’s not get crazy here.

This isn't a TH hire and TH isn't calling the shots

And he knows it. I'm sure it is good motivation though.

He knows that he needs to win now, so hopefully we go 7-5 instead of 5-7

Sitake is free to create the same value for himself. But he's failed to do it thus far.

I think the issue could be about allocation of resources, not just necessarily

If he wants to go out and be the highest paid NFL assistant coach we'll be happy

No, they are paid to win. If they win, they will get paid more.

I thought he was sitting at 3.2M. This makes more sense.
