for a couple of hours when I was training for a marathon.
BIG ADVERTISEMENT! I am not bragging here. I'm just addressing the OP's claim that runners must be neglecting their work or family by running too much by stating how much I typically do for a marathon. I'm obviously not elite here, just trying to be in shape (which is the only reason I sign up for races---to motivate me to actually go out and run). I'm not claiming to be a good runner or better than anyone else by running a marathon. It's just what I chose to spend a couple of hours on a Saturday training for (anyone spend that much on golf?)
Sorry, I felt like I had to make a big apology or someone would think I was trying to brag or something and would then get offended.
