"the biggest improvement comes between the first and second games." Granted, both teams have games...but BYU travels across the country to play a team that was much improved by the end of last year and Texas plays at home against North Texas. BYU should be a bit more steeled in this game than Texas.
One other thing to watch for. Presuming we really do get better corner play, Bronco will not have to play so much cover 2/zone/hide Povey in pass coverage. If we can put guys on an island occasionally, the can afford to be more exotic in his blitz package and we do have a few guys that like coming off the edge in Bronson and Alani and I think Pikula could do some damage on the blitz as well. I don't think there will be quite as much bend, don't break...especially if Ash ends up being shaky and they end up playing a brand new QB.
I really like BYU's chances in this game. Texas has a lot of work to do...BYU not as much. I still pencil this in as one of two losses prior to the bowl...but it's not a slam dunk for Texas.
