Texas lived and died by the big play when they played us
When they tried to march down the field w/ short passes and runs, BYU stopped them dead. This is the strength of Bronco's D. They will bend but not break and will force a turnover on downs or a FG on most occasions if teams try this.

The only times Texas had success was taking advantage of our clear lack of athleticism and speed in the defensive back field and going over the top on Povey. Barring another 2013 disaster we will not be fielding a starting secondary w/ Povey, Hague, etc. that are smart, have tons of heart, but just weren't blessed w/ the natural ability to keep up w/ Texas' athleticism. Texas will not be able to depend on going deep as long as our secondary continues to be assignment sound.

Not to mention what you said about Bronco now being able to blitz more LB's and bring more pass rush from the DL, this game could get ugly like last year. We played a very conservative D due to our secondary and we still hit Ash 100X's and eventually he had to leave the game. I see something similar happening this year even w/out KVN.
