I certainly think it's unprofessional...

BUT it's common. I have worked for two Fortune 50 companies (including Fortune 1) and it was pretty common. THEN I went to a $2B market cap company, and the CEO would call certain employers $&@#ers in a meeting 'to make them laugh'. I cringed, but sadly it is common...

My last example is probably a little less common, but maybe not by much...
