I followed him a lot in high school. Saw him play twice when i visited az and my
Brother saw him quite a bit.

He is the type of guy that IMO if his potential is realized will be the center piece of many high post offensive sets where the four (sorry austin and kaufusi) is a true threat from the free throw line to pass shoot or dribble to the hole. If his potential is reached think the type of offense that the zags ran with Olynyk. I know that the lone peak guys are the popular ones but IMO Dastrup could be the key. Think about it, Dastrup gets the ball at the top of the key with Mika 10 feet from the basket on the baseline. On the opposite corner you have Haws in the corner on the baseline at the three point line with Emery on the wing and Bryant up top ready to reset the offense if nothing is open. NO MAN CAN BE LEFT OPEN. It will be a thing of beauty and Dastrup could very have the charge to make the right decision a ton in the offense.

When i saw him play in high school he seems very unselfish. Look for more of the same with BYU and if he is the centerpiece of a high post offense I could see him being a stat filler 10 points 7 boards a block and 3 assists.

But of course we still have this year and that offense and excitement will probably happen in two seasons. It could be a lot of fun.

Now let's just get the big guys this year healthy and let's get them to stay healthy the entire season
