Have made a few interesting comments. I have seen multiple reports that say that the Holiday Bowl is going to wait and see what happens with USC vs. Stanford before making a decision on USC. USC played in the Holiday Bowl last year. If they get beat handily by Stanford, does the Holiday Bowl want them again? There is some chatter that the answer is no. Some of those same people are saying that Wazzu is actually preferred based on their style of play and the fact that their fan base will be excited that they finally made it to a good bowl and show up in droves.

As for Utah, I have read through the PAC12 Bowl rules, and once the Foster Farms Bowl has picked, the remaining bowls must pick in order of finish. In other words, the bowl doesn't get to pick who they want. If this is true, then the Sun Bowl would be mandated to pick Utah based on the tiebreaker over Wazzu (overall record).

I have no idea if all of this information is true. It's interesting to read about and project. Piper (at the Trib) seems to think that Utah will be gone before the Sun Bowl picks. I tend to think the Sun Bowl is most likely. Guess we'll know soon enough.
