Don't get me wrong. Tanner, IMO, is the most talented traditional QB to come through the program since Ty Detmer. His numbers are right on par with Ty as a Freshman and Tanner had many more starts to cause those numbers to be not great.
But it was interesting watching him. Generally he has made great strides this year. His read progression has gotten quicker. He is throwing on time more but his also his inexperience showed up at times this season.
All in all, by any measure it has been a great first season for Tanner. Broke every Freshman BYU passing record. First 3k passer since Max Hall.
The future is indeed bright. Already looking forward to next year.
