diminish my absolute respect for him as a man, though. He'll remain way ahead as #1 in my book.
I doubt there's a way to retain him on staff as a position coach in a demotion scenario, unfortunately--cuz I certainly want his influence to remain on our staff.
I also want him to find success, though I have to admit he's one guy I don't worry about in that regard. He is the king of optimism. In his playing days I remember him badly hurt, I remember him very angry & frustrated--but I never remember seeing him once mean, dejected, or sad. Not even a hint.
