I'll answer them...
"Why is attendance dropping almost across the board?"

Several reasons.

1- Quality of competition. Nobody wants to really see Ripon and Winthrop. Nobody else will play Utah here though.

2- Add on top of that the parking problems at the U (the only place you can park is a mile away and you have to shuttle in).

3- Lastly, *all* of college basketball is seeing attendance drop as TV contracts put more and more games on TV and as exciting underclassmen jump to the NBA.

"Do you think the local media are important to the Yew?"

No. The local population is anywhere between 50% and 75% LDS (depends on whose numbers you read). That means all of the local radio stations are going to cater to the BYU viewpoint. Plus, the best local talent doesn't compare to middling talent from other states.

Which leads to your last question:

"What is your programs recruiting pipeline? Will that pipeline continue after Rick is gone?"

Southern California has been a great recruiting pipeline for Majerus. Van Horn, Miller, Killion, Jesse, Drisdom, Markson, Chaney, and Hawkins (next year) just to name a few. This is one of the main reasons the SoCal teams refuse to play us, it just encourages recruits to leave SoCal when Utah pounds them into ground round.

Outside of SoCal, our best grounds have been international. Melmeth, Mottola, Jian, and Bogut are all international talent. Lest you bash the Euros, you should check the NBA's starting All Star team rosters.

I know these facts are going to crash upon your blind allegiance like waves on the rocks of the western shores, but it makes me feel better to at least give you a chance to save face and seem partially intelligent.
