- Has more than doubled in value since I bought it in 2016
- We sometimes have it on Airbnb when we don't use it, which pays for taxes, utilities, etc
- Sign up with a cleaning company so you don't have to spend time cleaning each time you're there
- We've been all over — spring break in Sedona; Christmas in Kauai; summer in Canada, Alps, etc. For those popular times, we get enough from renting out our place to pay for wherever else we choose to stay
- Provides a home base and plenty of memories with our kids. Want to get out of town for the weekend in the middle of February? Spend a weekend in St. George riding bikes, hiking, swimming, etc.
Our only regret was waiting to buy.
We didn't buy it to make money (the appreciation has been nice, however); we bought it for the memories, and it has more than delivered. But it's definitely not the only place we go.
We just finished a remodel and probably won't put it on Airbnb anymore. But we urge family, friends, neighbors, employees to go there often
