The MWC championship conflict was a deal break but I think Hawaii felt it was also in their best interests to not continue the series. BYU for years was a big archrival for Hawaii but in order to keep a rivalry healthy, you can't have one team beating the crap out of the other year after year which was where this series was headed. It's hard to see this series reinstated with the way the MWC is set up now.
