I received a snarky boardmail about my post about paying Utah coaches ... so just for factual accuracy, I would like to make sure it's clear that when I say "Utah should fire their current coach so they can pay FOUR coaches at once," it is an exaggeration.

You see, for the purpose of humor, I'm using a little pufferey in reference to the fact that as of 2011, Utah had paid more than one basketball head coach for 7 straight years. Boylen's contract was through 2014, and while I'm sure Boylen is well paid by his NBA assistant gig, I'm also pretty sure Utah still has to make up the difference between Boylen's Utah contract and his NBA contract.

So yes, I know Utah won't be paying four coaches at the same. I'm just poking a little fun at the decade of paying double salaries, if that's ok with you lurking Utah fans here.

But in the good news department, by 2015 the 10 years of paying more than head basketball coach will be done (as long as Coach Kry is still in Salt Lake by then).
