They are spinning it that Detmer wants more money than offered. They imply that Detmer is making way more in Texas and a high school football coach than what BYU is willing/able to pay him. If I believe Detmer's tweets, which he's more credible than G&G on his worst day, he doesn't want to relocate his kids at this stage of life (middle school, high school). I know football is huge in Texas, and in many cases the head FB coaches may make more than a D1 coach, but I can't believe the little private school he is coaching at isn't going to be able to pay more than BYU.

I believe it's not about the money--its about life circumstances at the moment.
