If I may make a suggestion, head South from the Temple along Champion's Forrest and turn right onto Cypress Creek Parkway (FM-1960). Just before you get to the railroad tracks, stop in for a virtual meal at Pappadeaux's. They have some of the best seafood in the Northwest suburbs. After your virtual meal, it is an easy virtual hop over the tracks to SR-249 to continue on your way.
