Um, no. He was not a PG for the Trail Blazers
The starting lineup for the world champion Portland Trail Blazers in 76-77
C- Bill Walton
PF- Maurice Lucas
SF- Bobby Gross
SG- Lionel Hollins
PG- Dave Twardzik
First guard off the bench was Johnny Davis, who got a lot of minutes in the playoffs in the championship run because Twardzik got hurt.
I didn't watch BG in college but religiously watched the Blazers in the 70s. Yes, Bill loved Bobby--nice complementary player. However, Oregonians from that era would laugh at "BG ran the the Blazers at the point."
