Had no idea this was goin on, My dad would have loved to take part out in angola
My family and I have lived overseas for most of the past 30 years. We have some great stories of our BYU fandom throughout the years in the most remote areas of the world, my favorite being in Thailand back in 1984. We were living in Thailand, and my father was able to convince a friend at the US embassy to let him borrow an AFN radio, as they were broadcasting many of the bowl games. In the third quarter, the reception began getting sketchy, causing my father to run around trying different areas. Somehow he found that the best reception was him standing on a chair outside the car port holding the antenna over his head. So my father listened to the second half of the game while standing on a chair, holding the antenna, with my mom sitting in a chair next to him and us kids riding our tricycles and bikes around. As it was morning, many Thai people passed up and down the street along their business, wondering what this crazy white man was doing standing on a chair, holding an antenna, and yelling at a radio.

That was my life growing up. From Kazakhstan, to Egypt, to Vietnam, we have had some fun memories surrounding BYU sports.
