On the launch platform for the Space Shuttle just a week before take-off
I was given a private tour on the platform with the space shuttle/rocket attached and in place. We took the same elevator and walked the same route the astronauts take. This shuttle was the one that John Glenn blasted off in on Oct. 29, 1998. They allowed us to poke our head into the shuttle while it was getting prepared. That was the coolest tour I have ever been on.
