Funny story. When I became a fan in the early '80s late '70s I was just a kid and was not aware of the rivalry. The Giants sucked back then. They were the Dodger's whipping boys, and so I hardly gave them a 2nd thought. LA lost a pennant race one of those years on a Joe Morgan home run on like the last game of the season or close to it. It broke my heart, but when I saw the Giants fans and team going crazy after the home run I was like "heyyyyyy, shut up you %#$%^#'s". I started to hate them after that.
