However, it's very disappointing that the characters are flawed in almost the exact same way: Adulterous and alcoholic. It's not an uplifting show. Few critically acclaimed dramas are now. It's a guilty pleasure of mine. I vainly attempt to justify it by citing that scripture is also filled with cautionary figures and their tales. I think I'm the only one buying that argument though...
