Dane Iorg was one clutch hitter.
He batted .529 for St. Louis in the 1982 World Series (9 of 17).
In the 1985 World Series, he had the game winning hit for the Kansas City Royals, against his old team, the St. Louis Cardinals. The Royals trailed 1-0 in the bottom of the 9th. Iorg came to bat with 1 out and the bases loaded, and he hit a single that brought in 2 runs. KC went on to win game 7, and the Royals earned their only World Series Championship.
