Don't Muff It
Most copiers/scanners have a web interface that can test the connection.
If you haven't already, type the IP address of your copier/scanner in a browser (and hit go). You should be able to test it there.

I've been able to access the web interface from the destination computer

That's odd. My Kyocera scanner was/is a nightmare. I set it up the same way
