Especially when the schedule ends up like this. It's not horrible at all. But it provides the opportunity to at least prove yourself at this level. Go undefeated or 1 loss with this schedule, and you at least start getting respect back.

I don't think Independence was ever meant as a long term thing. They really need to do all they can do take advantage and earn the respect of others. They haven't done a good job of that since they became indy and they've got the crew to do something special the next two years... Might as well keep adding to it to get as much depth as possible, something BYU isn't known for... and combat something BYU IS known for, injuries.

I know everyone deals with injuries, but the big boys have a nice buttered biscuit worth of layers to compensate. BYU doesn't.

Whether or not all of this has anything to do with what you said, I don't know.
