The first one I remember going to was the 05 byu vs tcu game. My dad met the tcu
Athletic director at the Dallas airport and they got to talking about the upcoming game. He generously hooked us up with visiting seats behind the tcu bench. To this day I don't share animosity towards those guys for beating us that day and in games since; as they did my dad and brothers and I a solid favor. That game was my first barn burner, and as a 14 year old that's exciting stuff.
