I think a 3 month supply for that budget may be pushing it.

I have a solid 30 day supply of freeze dried foods for my family of 5. Jet Boil stove with plenty of fuel. Approximately 22 gallons of water per person. I probably paid around 600-700 for all that.

Good news is shelf life is about 20 years so I don't have to worry about rotating.
