He doesn't need to think and be disciplined - he just needs to be a freak athlete, which he is. At QB there is so much required to be an elite performer, that an undisciplined, unfocused person trying to get by on raw athleticism can't make it. I don't love Clowney but I bet he stays in the league a while, personal off-the-field mistakes notwithstanding (lawbreaking etc).
