Need help with a strategy for helping an international student get thru college
This guy is an RM from a developing country. He took some college classes in his home country, but they do not have the curriculum for the field he wishes to pursue - Psychology/Neuro Science. He came to Utah once and got accepted into BYU but did not have the deposit to put down so he could not attend. He tried again a couple of years ago and was denied admission and he did not have the money to attend anyway, but he was able to attend LDSBC and was told that upon graduation he could transfer to one of the other church schools. However, it turns out that because he took some classes in his home country, he now has too many credits to be admitted into any of the 4 year church schools.

So I am suggesting that he finish his bachelors somewhere and then apply for graduate school at BYU. So the questions are:

1. Does that sound reasonable? Can he get a Psych degree somewhere else and still get into the grad program and work in Neuro Science - just make up some courses? Would that graduate program be really difficult to get into?

2. What would be the most cost effective way to get a four year degree? SVU? Any good values in online schools?
