BYU won't go back to the MWC. If Craig Thompson offered us non-football membership tomorrow, we'd decline for a lot of very good reasons. And, even if we ever did get invited to the Pac-12 or Big 12, it could be football only.

The WCC may have to be our long-term home. There might not be any other option.

That's the main reason it bugs me a little bit when BYU fans unfairly slam the WCC. Sure, there are better conferences out there, but it's totally possible that we could be staying where we are for a very long time. I think we should be optimistic and make the best of it.
